Elevators
Regions Center is served by 21 elevators and 2 escalators.
SCHINDLER ELEVATOR CORPORATION® provides maintenance for all Regions Center elevators and escalators. Schindler is one of the leading global servicers of elevators, escalators and moving walks. Schindler maintains a branch office in Shreveport and has qualified technicians on call 24/7 for routine repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency service.
Following is a brief description of the elevators by location:
Regions Building
Regions Building elevators are located adjacent to the Regions Bank lobby. There are a total of four passenger elevators. Note that all elevators do not provide service to the 16th floor where the Fitness Center is located. If you are a passenger on an elevator that does not service the 16th floor, you can transfer to one that does on the 15th floor.
There is no dedicated service elevator - the passenger elevator nearest the Texas Street entrance doubles as the service elevator. For large moves, the wood panels are removed to prevent damage to the finishes.
Regions Tower
The low rise passenger elevators are located on the north side of the first floor lobby and these elevators serve floors 1 - 12. The 12th floor is a transfer floor, meaning that both banks of elevators service this floor allowing passengers to transfer from the low rise elevator bank to the high rise elevator bank and continue up.
The high rise passenger elevators are located on the south side of the first floor lobby and these elevators serve floors 12 - 22.
Two shuttle passenger elevators located on the 22nd floor provide service to floors 23 and 24. The 22nd floor is the transfer floor for the shuttle elevators, meaning that you must transfer to them from the high rise elevator bank.
The service elevator for Regions Tower is located adjacent to the loading dock and serves all floors from the basement to the 25th floor. The service elevator is operated by a security access card only. Access cards for the service elevator are available at the atrium security console.
A handicap elevator is located near the atrium restrooms and it provides service to floors 1 - 2 of the Atrium. For safety reasons, we encourage disabled individuals and children to use this elevator instead of the escalators.
Garage Elevators
Two garage passenger elevators serve floors 1 - 6 of the parking garage. This elevator bank is accessed from the 2nd floor of the Atrium.
Elevator Access Control
After normal hours and at certain other times, the passenger elevators in Regions Building and Regions Center are secured/locked and require an access card to operate. Refer to the Access Schedules section of this handbook for additional information.
Elevator Maintenance
One of the best ways for us to know about the need for elevator maintenance is for you, the tenant, to report any problems you encounter. This includes the reporting of cab lights out, up and down floor indicators not lighting or chiming, floor buttons not lighting, elevators not leveling properly, etc. Use the on-line work order system to report problems. Include the elevator number and floor number on the work order whenever possible. The elevator number is displayed on the white emergency telephone panel located at the front of the inside of the cab.
