Security Guards
Regions Center employs one uniformed guard at the lobby security console continuously and one roving patrol officer from 8:00 am until 12:00 midnight Monday through Friday. Security guards are provided by EDIFICE PROTECTION GROUP, a provider of security officers in the United States with over 25 branch offices. Some of the key features of the property Security Guard program are:
Post Management Software
Regions Center is the only area property that utilizes SecuritasVision® post management software. This state-of-the-art program features:
- PC at the security console and multi-function PDA for roving officers;
- Detailed written post orders that can be viewed on the PC and the PDA;
- Bar code scanner on the PDA for verification of patrols and rounds;
- Emergency contact information on PDA;
- Automatic e-mail notification to building staff if patrols are missed.
Scheduled Patrols
The below listed electronically verified patrols will be performed by the security guards at regular intervals to detect and deter theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, illegal parking, etc.:
- Parking Garage Patrol
- Building Exterior Patrol
- Interior Common Area Patrol
- Tenant Suite Lock Round (after cleaners leave)
Access Control
Security Guards will monitor the electronic access control system and supplement it by performing these activities:
- After Hours Visitor's Sign-In Log
- Infrequent Contractor Sign-In Log
- Monitoring of Move-Ins and Deliveries
CCTV Security System
The security officer assigned to the atrium security console will monitor the property closed circuit television (CCTV) system. This system features:
- 36 cameras in various locations throughout Regions Center including the Parking Garage;
- 7 television monitors;
- DVR capability.
Investigations
The site security supervisor will perform investigations of all thefts, accidents and other incidents, to include:
- Immediate deployment to the scene to interview witnesses and note conditions;
- Preparation of a written Incident Report;
- Follow-up investigations as required to resolve and close the case;
- Action plan to prevent similar incidents in the future.
